Some common questions about Burn Night shirts:
-
So, these will be real shirts? With a picture you took the day before? Can I wash them? Or wear them more than once?
Absolutely. These are real store-quality t-shirts. They are screen-printed and oven-cured between each step. It takes just as long to make one of these shirts as it does our retail shirts. We could print a boatload more if we cut corners, but we aren't going to do that.
-
Seriously. A picture from the day before. How is this possible?
We work with some great people who are ready and willing to bend over backwards for this. Last year, a photographer was there on the last night of stack. We got the photo late that evening and worked through the night to design a shirt around it. Before the sun was up, our printer got the design and went to work. Bonfire had its very own day at the printer, with every machine and able body dedicated to turning these shirts out. That's how.
-
Why order now?
Two reasons. They're cheaper now. And, because we wait until stack is finished before we take the photo, there isn't enough time to print as many shirts as folks want on the night of Burn. You can always order after Burn, but if you want to be sure to have a shirt on Burn Night, show up early or preorder.
-
Are these the only shirts that will be at Burn?
Nope. Old Army Supply Co. will have some non-year-specific Bonfire shirts out there. And Student Bonfire will have some of their shirts, too.
-
I want Student Bonfire to make money, but I also want a shirt with a picture of this year's stack. I mean, I can wear a picture of the stack I'll be watching burn! What do I do?
As always, Old Army Supply Co. donates a portion of our "Certified" sales to Student Bonfire. On Burn Night, we double it so that you don't have to choose between what you want and what Student Bonfire needs.
-
Why do you do this?
Because we love Bonfire. And we know you do, too. What we do in one long night and day pales in comparison to the months of sacrifices the young men and women of Bonfire make every year. And we know that the work these students do is too big to have to worry about cool-looking t-shirts. So, though our shirts will be far from the best part of the night, we hope they can be a little something unique and special for you to look back on. And most of all, it's for the students who may wear these proudly and say... "I was there. No, there. Second row, six people over. Next to the hairy guy."
